The Canal Duke has stood at the heart of Astley as a place to rest, eat well and drink better. We keep our ale properly and price it fairly, because a good pint shouldn't be a luxury. It remains what it has always been, a family community pub run with care, with two outdoor seating areas for the warmer months and a small play area to keep the kids entertained.

Seasonal, produce-led cooking rooted in classic British technique — from a proper Sunday roast to a Friday fish supper.

A well-stocked bar of lagers, stouts and IPAs, fine wines and small-batch spirits, kept and served exactly as they should be.
